Pambadumchola National Park is the smallest national park in Kerala. It was declared as a national park in 2003 (14/12/2003). It is located at the Marayur Village in Idukki District. The area is 1.318 square kilometers. The uniqueness of the place is the sanctity of the Chola Pulmedu. Deer, elephant, bison, and the famous Nilgiri martyen (a rare indigenous jerk that is found in the South Western Ghats and Nilgiri Hills) is a life threatened by the IUCN Red List. The 9km from here will reach the entire agricultural village of Vattavada.
