It is a nice place with the beautiful sights which will never disappear from the mind. The people those who are not visited also familiar with the Gulmargu,Sonamargu,Pahalgam etc. There are many places to where we can visit for 30 days. Like that some places are discussed in this post. One thing that we should avoid travel through this route while strike.
Route:Jammu-Udhampoor-Khanabal(NH44)-take right deviation to Ananthanag Kishthwar High way (NH1B) -Achabel -Kokkarnag -Daks-Sinthantop.
From Achabal to Sinthantop
On the way from Delhi is common for the Butter chicken of Aslam kakka and the tea of Haji’s shop. I forgot about the hot weather.After that we reached Railway Station. During journey one traveller got message that the problems are going on in Kashmir. But I decided to put my steps forward. We reached Udhampoor by 10.30.Two hours late it was. A man from Pahalgam Thanveer Bhai was waiting with the Tavera.Loaded all the luggages.The road was filled with the stones and digs. The maintenance work was progressing. Last night also Thanveer had driven. The travel will be successed because of these type of drivers. They will make us to reach the destination without tensions.
There were hills and the rivers which is flowing through it. The fields are devided and the goats on the both the sides. But there was not much cold.There after reached Kashmir valleys by crossing the Jawahar tunnel. The climate has changed and it was like changing from sunlight to ac room. The time has come to use jacket and we sat very closely by raising the vehicle glass up. We get down in the first view point Titanic. The field was looking like the mat full of drawings. We drunk one masala tea to tolerate the wind and rain.
Before reaching Anandhanagu town from Ganabal turned to right side. After that the travel is through the Highway. The small town with shops, houses and crowd. The shops was closed because of the strike. The people were standing on both the sides of the road and the soldiers with the guns,sticks and shield.We reached in Achabal
The big garden of Kashmir is here. Along with that 5 Alpine huts were there .By seeing the hut we can understand the Kashmir tourism. The visitors not coming to this place because of the terrorists.Exept one all other huts are going to destroy.We kept the vehicle near to the garden. One person with traditional dress has come with the smile. He introduced himself by telling his name Gulam.He was the care taker of this hut and he was happy because after a long time he got one guest. By seeing from outside its a old one, but the facilities were good inside. The floor and roof was with the wood. They kept one Kashmiri mat on the floor. There are accommodation for 8 members with 2 bedrooms. The electric heater in the bed, attached bathrooms.The people should never miss the chance to stay at hut like this. Trough jktdc website we can book. The rate for the double room is 700-1000.The main attraction is the location. The cottage built in the Yusmargu and Chatpal was very nice locations. The walking outside the hut also will be nice
The garden is more beautiful than the garden of the Sreenagar. The fountain from the earth was the water source. There are decorative plants, tress and the fountain.The troud fish centre with small and big fishes is there little away from here. In 1620 Jahanger’s wife Noorjan only made this garden.Later Shajahan’s elder daughter Jahanara built it with the new look. We went to room by 7 o clock. The Gulambai has come with the tastiest food. We might be the last guest for him because he is getting retired in the next month. Nicely slept at night by hearing the music of streams. Morning woke up by hearing birds sound. The captured the pics of Huppa birds while searching for the seeds.After having tea from Gulam bai we went to Mulberry plantation. It was one sericulture centre. In between we could see the trees of Badam and Piar.The village people were walking with the cows. We became so close with the people of that place. They got an opportunity to talk about their matters with others. Some people are liking Kerala much and few were not heard about Kerala. One of their daughter was studying in One of the medical college in Kerala. When asked about the feron cloth,one fellow removed and given for wearing. Super! All were having the wish to wear the dress. We collected from 6 members and they took pics of us
They invited us for the tea to their houses. We avoided with the love. They gave information about the important places. The Nagdhandi Asramam was the major among those places. Swami Vivekandan visited that place it seems. One old building was there and one Pakistani Journalist was stayed it seems. Gulam bai told that the breakfast is ready. So most of them gone but I went to that building and have taken few photos.Suddenly I heard the sound of monkeys. One big crowd of monkeys.. When I was coming back the picture of Guruvayoor appan was there on the wall. I was thinking how its came here and I was happy. I took one photo. It was the piece of crpf camp news paper. After having food started to go Sinthantop. There were many tops like Patni top, Margan top, Rasdan top etc.
Today’s route :Achbal-Vayalu-Kokkarnag-Daksum-Sinthantop. It was a part of Ananthanagu Kishtwar National Highway. There were only few vehicles including share auto. One side Brindhi river. The mineral water which is getting in the Kashmir might be from here. On both sides are of apple trees, wallnut trees and paddy fields.Highrange has come after Dacsum.The place was full of mist,meadows and the waterfalls. Arun was having ‘hightophobia.’ So he told to go back.But Thanveer Bai was very cool. There were one green sign board and told us that we can go there and come back. The mist had filled totally on both the sides. One JCB helped by removing snow.One small shop of plastic sheet was there on top of the snow. I can’t write everything through words and this was a 360 degree view point. The snow was there till Kishthwar. The dark blue sky and the clouds which looks like the snow. I drunk one tea. I was facing the problem snow blindness. One tourists were there from Mumbai.Now only we saw one visitors after few hours. We reached Daksum
The major attractive place is the Government Ship Breeding Farm. We took ticket and gone there The way was enjoyable through the forest of 2 kms.There were 8 buildings and in each 200 goats.When we reached one unit they opened and the goats has taken to meadows.
The jktdc hut was near to it. The snow hills and pine trees can be seen.The womens with the water and woods,the men who are feeding horses are the sights.There are many trekking route from here to forest.
Here one more beautiful garden was there and one hut.The garden was surrounded by Kokkarnag spring. There are tulip flowers and the himalayan birds. It was a terrorist ‘s center once upon a time. The soldiers brought peace.Then also not good to travel through this way at the of strike. We went to Chathpal after having food
