The wonderful area that is covered with the yellow valley is Ellikkalkkallu. We were knowing about the place Ellikkalkkallu only by reading and by seeing the pictures about the place. But it was different experience for we four members. We stopped the vehicle after passing through the greeny hills.From here we have to travel inJeep after paying money in the counter. Anyway I got front seat in the Jeep. The cool breeze had made my mind and body chill.There was one and half kms journey in the Jeep.
We reached the place after passing 5 -6 hairpin curves and we have to climb one hill to reach in the view point. The rain has accompanied with the extreme coldness. But we didn’t mind the climate and continued the walk.
I got attention towards the stones where we were walking. The stones were in red color. And I came to know about that mining of the iron had done earlier here. So this stones are having copper.
I got the informations regarding the persons who had done the adventures at the time reached. More than that the snow falls were welcoming and it covered all the sights.
The rain was disappeared when we about to reach the Ellikkal rock. The wind has come. The Ellikkal rock was standing at the top like a statue of rock,and also looks like a cobra lying like lion. I captured some pics and came back from the hill. We had tea while coming back to tolerate the cold.The story behind the Neelakkoduveli was at the valley.One small pond is there on the top of the kudukkakkallu and the Neelakkoduveli can be seen in that. The one who is getting this will become rich. But its not possible to get it from there because of danger. We can’t even climb the kudakkallu.If we reached by chance even can’t able to touch it why because the water will swallow the man who is getting inside it.
