The Journey to search oasis in Desert

The discuss was started as usual regarding the festival holidays. We have selected the place Jordhan as per our one of the friends suggestion. It was very difficult to make Visiting Visa,Exit-Reentry Visa and Jordhan Visa for about 20 members.
At last we decided to select one place which is there inside the Saudi Arabia.
That place was Alhaba. And from there 3500 kms will be there to Albahah.Albahah is a city in the south west of Saudi Arabia. It is the capital of Albahah region, and is one of the Kingdom’s prime tourist attractions. I have to plan everything because along with me my family, friends and one nine months old baby also is there. And the arrangements for the stay and the vehicle for travelling also should be done. I have created one whatsapp group also for the trip discussion as a part of new generation. But at last most most of them had decided to cancel the trip because of their some issues. With the available members we started our journey.
We have done Namas from Riyadh. Then we had food from the famous hotel Prasmugha and started to go on the Bisha road. The Google Map had helped us to reach the hotel where we had plan to stay.

From Riyad to Albahah we have to travel 800 kms through the single line track road. Both the sides of the road was filled with the desert that looks like sea. After that we could see the hills, valleys and mountains in the village. The road was not busy. There was not much shops, pumps and markets. We were having an extra fuel with us.
We searched and got one restaurant for the dinner and also had the facilities for watching FIFA World Cup. We ordered the food very lavishly to celebrate the festival. After the dinner we started our journey with the help of Google Map. Suddenly stopped the vehicle by seeing truck which is kept one side of the road. I frightened by seeing one group of youngsters. But they told us that they are going to the same place that is Albahah. In the morning we reached and slept nicely. I was thinking only about the oasis which I am going to see. We had breakfast from one Kerala hotel by searching.
Albahah is a small in size but impressive in its splendor. It is known for the majestic Sarawat mountain range, which is often enveloped in thick fog during the winter. The temperature is moderate in the Tuhama plains. It enjoys a pleasant climate and is surrounded by more than 40 forests including Ragadhan, Alzaraeb and Baidan. The province is know for its beauty and has forests, wildlife, valleys and mountains that attract the visitors from all parts of the Kingdom.

The famous mountain Saravath is situated about 1500 to 2450 above from the sea level. The highest temperature which is reported is 40 degree Celsius. The main cities are Albahah, Belgarsi, Almandaq and Magava. The cultivation for the dates, vegetables, fruits etc are available. And the honey is famous in that place.
In the morning we arrived near to the Dam. I was telling to my friends that it is saudi.Because the sights what we are seeing is entirely different from what we had assumptions. The Dam was small with the depth of 7meter and 100000 cubic meter saving capacity when we compare with the Idukki Dam. We saw many houses and discussed about how to build it.In Rangdan forest hill is there with full of greeny. The Albahah people are used to spend their holidays along with the family here. One of my professional camera man had captured most of the beautiful sceneries. We had food inside the forest and started the journey to Thee Ain village. From Albaha city 25 tunnels we have to travel. The village of the Thee Ain is a unique heritage site that includes old archaeological buildings, agricultural lands, springs, distinctive cultural and natural landscapes, gardens, and a visitor’s center. The village, near Al-Mekwa city in Al-baha province,is one of the heritage sites that is registered in the World Heritage list of UNESCO. This village is 400 yrs old with 49 houses and 312 rooms. The houses are made up of marble stones. One festival was there regarding the olden days. The festival was nice because of the decorations with different colours lighting, different dishes of food, the things which is used in olden days, singers, motor vehicles, birds, aquarium, zoo, play materials and play ground for the childrens The food we had is like Thiruvona sadhya and the festival was like Thrissurpooram. All were very tired because of the travel and took rest at Albah itself.
