This museum is one of the oldest museums in India. Though it is situated in Bengaluru, you will find a board here which says ‘Mysore Government Museum’ which shows that it was built when it was a part of Mysore state. This museum which was constructed in 1865 is not far away from the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum. This is now an archaeological museum that houses mostly artistic and historical structures. There are a large number of ancient artefacts here. They have many art galleries which exhibits famous paintings, sculptures and some unique artefacts found only here.
Lal Bagh is a famous botanical garden situated in Bengaluru. The construction of this stunningly beautiful garden was begun by Haider Ali and completed by his son Tipu Sultan in the eighteenth century. Today it is one of the main attractions of Bengaluru. This garden has a rich collection of tropical plants. Built on an area of 240 acres of land, this garden is artistically designed with beautiful flower buds, neat lawns and fountains. One of the main attractions here is the ‘Glass House’ which serves as a place for the famous flower shows held every year. This lovely park has beautiful rocks, lakes and flora that attracts thousands of tourists every year.
